Our Story

Curtis Farnsworth founded this firm in the early 1990s after beginning his career at a "Big 8" accounting firm. What started then as a solo practice has since grown into a full-service firm, fueled by a commitment to personal connection and excellence.

In 2021, the family legacy continued as Curtis’ son, Curt, officially joined the team. Together, they offer a unique blend of deep industry experience and a fresh, modern perspective.

Today, Farnsworth Company operates from its office in Gilbert, Arizona, with remote team members in several other states. The firm embraces a modern, digital approach to accounting while maintaining a personal connection with clients across Arizona and the surrounding region.

Meet the Team

  • Curtis Farnsworth

    FOUNDING PARTNER

    Curtis earned his Master’s in Accountancy from Brigham Young University in 1984 and began his career with Coopers & Lybrand before founding Farnsworth Company. He now focuses on financial statement audits and larger client relationships.

  • Curt Farnsworth

    PARTNER

    After earning his Master’s in Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation, Curt joined Farnsworth Company full-time, continuing the family tradition in accounting. He specializes in tax planning and preparation for small business owners, with a focus on service professionals.

  • Amy Clonts

    OFFICE MANAGER

    As office manager and administrator, Amy keeps the firm running smoothly in every sense, earning her the title of the office’s “cruise director". From client coordination to team support, she ensures operations stay organized and efficient.

  • Nancy Nienstedt

    PAYROLL MANAGER

    Nancy is Farnsworth Company’s longest-tenured team member and brings deep experience in payroll and bookkeeping. Her attention to detail and reliability make her an invaluable resource for both the firm and its clients.

  • Olivia Hamblin

    SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

    Olivia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from BYU-I and began her career with Farnsworth Company as an intern before joining full-time. She focuses on small business and individual tax preparation and works remotely from Wisconsin.

  • Shania Whiting

    SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

    Shania holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from NAU and gained experience at a few other firms before joining Farnsworth Company. She prepares business and trust returns and reviews individual returns, working remotely from Show Low, Arizona.

  • Kaylee Reid

    STAFF ACCOUNTANT

    Kaylee earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from BYU-I and focuses on individual tax returns and bookkeeping. She works remotely from Utah.

  • Britt Feitz

    STAFF ACCOUNTANT

    Britt graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and works remotely from southern Arizona. She focuses on individual tax preparation and bookkeeping.

  • Allison Fish

    SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

    Allison earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from ASU and works remotely from Texas. She focuses on supporting small business clients with bookkeeping.

  • Blake Broadbent

    TAX ACCOUNTANT

    Blake is currently completing his Accounting degree at ASU and plans to pursue his CPA license after graduation. He works in the office, where he primarily focuses on business tax.
